"Rocky" is a strong and handsome Labrador (72 lbs) with an excellent nose. He has acquired his sire's wonderful calm temperament. Rocky is quite simply one of the best dogs I’ve owned, who looks like a Labrador should look, with a temperament to die for. Rocky carries the yellow gene.
Rocky qualified twice for the IGL first time out. 
He was the only dog to be made champion during the Covid year, winning three opens out of five that year. 
He has now qualified for the IGL five times.

1st Northumberland and Durham's All Aged Trial at Eggleston Fell - which is a very testing ground.
2019 -

2nd - National Gamekeepers Org. Two Day Open at
Emblehope and Burngrange Estate
​3rd - Gordon District Gundog Club’s 12 dog Open Retriever trial 
2020 -

1st - Utility Gundog Society's one day Open Trial and Best Retrieve of the Trial
1st - Highland Gundog Club 

1st - Three Ridings Labrador Club Open Trial gaining his Field Trial Champion status

2021 - 
1st - Utility Gundog Society Eastern Counties, which qualified him for the 2021 I.G.L. Retriever Championship

2022 -

1st - Northumberland and Durham Labrador Retriever Club's Open trial and was also awarded Best Dog on a runner, which qualified him again for the 2022 I.G.L Retriever Championship where he performed brilliantly but did not feature in the final awards.
2023 - 

1st - Scottish Gamekeepers Association's 2 day Open Stake which once again qualified him for the 2023 I.G.L. Retriever Championship at Drumlanrig Estate where he performed very well and was in the final 16 from 67 dogs.
2024 - 
1st - Northumberland and Durham L.R.C. two day open, which AGAIN qualified him for the 2024 I.G.L. Retriever Championship where he ran a great trial but unfortunately did not feature in the awards.
